Actor Karthi Engaged with Ranjani on April 29

South Actor Karthi, one of the most eligible bachelors in Kollywood, got engaged to Ranjani on April 29 at a close door ceremony at the bride's house near Erode. The star, along with his brother actor Suriya and his wife Jyothika, father Sivakumar, mother Lakshmi and other family members were present at the ceremony at Kumarasamy Goundampalayam, a village near Kodumudi in Erode District, for the ceremony.
Karthi is engaged to Ranjani, a post graduate in English Literature from Stella Maris College in Chennai. Ranjani was chosen for Karthi by his parents few days back. Her parents, Chinnasamy and Jothimeenakshi, are natives of Erode District.
A large number of men and women from the village and neighbouring areas gathered at the village temple, where Karthi and his family members offered prayers before leaving for the bride's home. Over 200 guests participated in the ceremony. Karthi and Ranjani will tie the knot on July 3.
